Luke 6:12-13
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, βPut out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.β Simon answered, βMaster, weβve worked hard all night and havenβt caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.β
Luke 5:4-5
From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. βNever, Lord!β he said. βThis shall never happen to you!β

Jesus turned and said to Peter, βGet behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.β

Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priestβs servant, cutting off his right ear.
John 18:10
Jesus commanded Peter, βPut your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?β

βIβm going out to fish,β Simon Peter told them, and they said, βWeβll go with you.β So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

Peter saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. Then a voice told him, βGet up, Peter. Kill and eat.β βSurely not, Lord!β Peter replied. βI have never eaten anything impure or unclean.β
Acts 10:11-14
The voice spoke to him a second time, βDo not call anything impure that God has made clean.β This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.β Then Peter began to speak: βI now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.β
